INSTRMNT Clock

University design project 2017

Minimalist Timepiece

A refined table top clock made from a combination of bare aluminium and powder coated steel. A subtly stamped leather pull slides out the back for easy disassembly and access to the inside. The clock features simple, lightly extruded markings on it's face, reflecting the minimal but industrial style of the INSTRMNT watches.

I developed the shape and function of the clock through multiple models using different materials to reach the final design.

Leather Accent

The pull on the back is to access the battery compartment on the mechanism. The addition of leather ties it into the luxurious aesthetic of the watches and features the engraved name, just like their existing products.
